Before technology made giant leaps, going on a road trip often meant getting completely lost and sparking arguments inside the car. Interestingly, the introduction of satellite navigation is a relatively recent development in modern history. By the time millennials started getting behind the wheel, paper maps had already become obsolete. Even built-in car navigation systems are gradually being replaced by smartphone apps like Google Maps or Apple Maps. Entering a destination and hitting the road is now far simpler than spending hours arguing over who missed that left turn.
