13. Cape York Peninsula, Australia
Cape York is a very remote place, located in North Australia. It’s a pretty nice place if you want to go fishing. The land is fully owned by indigenous communities. If you’re traveling from Cairns, it will be a 28-hour drive. It is important to note that you need a four-wheel-drive car if you want to get there. This Peninsula has a population of more than 18,000 and it’s cool to know that around 30 Aboriginal languages are still spoken over there.
